Melbourne Basement Company was created after a house in Princes Hill became one of the first residential properties in Victoria to retro fit an extensive basement living area underneath a heritage listed structure. The end result was so successful, that MBC instantly won the HIA Innovative Design Award. The concept was already being rolled out in Europe but was new to Australia and to our idea of home extensions. A logo and ensuing promotional material needed to visually explain the concept with concise information, exceptional photography and clever imagery. The logo graphic shows a new basement structure beneath existing buildings and is accompanied by text that create basement levels. Postcards, flyers, advertising and exhibition displays were created to promote the concept to Victorians.
