A boutique Western Australian winery, Quindon Estate bottled their very first vintage in 2003 and required a distinctive label to present their Cabernet Sauvignon to the market. A logo for Quindon Estate was first created using a graphic symbol for a bird's eye view of a pair of wine glasses. Then two labels were designed: The Enigma for the 2003 vintage and Sue's Row (after the owner) for the 2006 vintage. Sue's Row label design references the red tailed black cockatoo, a rare and endangered native species, that inhabits the vineyard. While The Enigma label references the solar eclipse that was visible from the property during harvest season.
The labels are linked by style but each makes an individual statement by telling a visual story about its origin.
